Hilary Mantel | Bring Up The Bodies

My portrait of Hilary Mantel, the double Booker Prize winner and author of Wolf Hall,  the BBC's latest big budget adaptation.  I didn't get long with Hilary. She has a wonderfully intense look and piercing brightly coloured eyes,  I decided to concentrate on a tighter image.  Through the camera's viewfinder I could see things were looking good, with the addition of the lighting picking out the details and colour I'm happy with how the portrait came together.
