A Chance Encounter

I took this portrait of 3 year old Jasmine whilst shooting a quick case study for  the 'Money' supplement  of The Times.The brief was to photograph the family for an article on mortgages, the paper wanted the family photographed in a room they had recently redecorated.

It didn't take long for me to get a few good pictures,  the young family were very photogenic and the two children incredibly patient and relaxed.

Jasmine the 3 year old was a wonderful little character with beautiful red hair, I couldn't resist asking Emma and Neil (parents) if I could take a picture of her on her own. The floral wallpaper made an ideal backdrop, which complimented her colourful dress. Jasmine was quite content messing around and pulling faces and I'm very pleased with the finished portrait. What would have been a normal no thrills commission has given me a portrait I am happy to add to the portfolio.
