I photographed the Italian road bike frame builer Marco Bertoletti for Cyclist Magazine in Bristol last month.

The bespoke bike frame Marco is using as a prop in these images is an 'IL 58' model. Built using 'grade 9 titanium frame'. I'm not entirely sure what that means, but at the best part of £6000 I presume it's a very capable bike in the right hands.

Marco spoke no English and I speak no Italian, I've become very adept at communicating directions through gesticulation, although it's highly likely I appear somewhat manic to the subject.
